# CalDAVconnect

> CalDAVconnect is a cloud service that provides bidirectional calendar sync between self-hosted CalDAV servers (Nextcloud, SOGo, Radicale, Baïkal) and Google Calendar or Microsoft 365. Changes sync within seconds on paid plans. It is hosted in Germany (Hetzner), processes and stores calendar data only in the EU, is fully GDPR compliant, and encrypts all event data at rest.

## What problem does it solve?

Google Calendar cannot connect to an external CalDAV server: Google offers CalDAV access to its own calendars, but cannot subscribe to a Nextcloud, SOGo or Radicale calendar. Microsoft 365 does not support CalDAV at all. There is no native way to sync a self-hosted CalDAV calendar with these cloud services. Common workarounds like ICS feed subscriptions are read-only and update only every 12–48 hours.

CalDAVconnect bridges this gap by connecting to CalDAV servers via the CalDAV protocol and to cloud calendars via their respective APIs (Google Calendar API, Microsoft Graph API). Changes sync bidirectionally within seconds on Solo and Pro plans using webhooks and CalDAV polling.

## How is it different from alternatives?

- **ICS feed subscriptions**: Read-only, 12–48h delay, no conflict handling. CalDAVconnect is bidirectional and syncs in seconds on paid plans.
- **Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer**: A COM Add-in that no longer works with New Outlook. CalDAVconnect is cloud-based and works regardless of the Outlook version.
- **DAVx⁵ / CalDAV clients**: These sync a single device. CalDAVconnect syncs server-to-server, so all devices connected to either calendar see changes instantly.

## Pricing

Free plan: 1 connection, hourly sync, no credit card. Solo from €2/month (1 connection, syncs in seconds). Pro from €5/month (5 connections included, each additional connection €1/month, up to 50 self-service). Solo and Pro can also be billed yearly in advance, with one month free and a 12-month minimum term: Solo €22/year, Pro from €55/year, each additional connection €11/year.
