# CalDAVconnect

> CalDAVconnect is a cloud service that provides bidirectional calendar sync between self-hosted CalDAV servers (Nextcloud, SOGo, Radicale, Baïkal) and Google Calendar or Microsoft 365. Changes sync within seconds on paid plans. It is hosted in Germany (Hetzner, Nuremberg), fully GDPR compliant, and encrypts all event data at rest.

## What problem does it solve?

Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 do not support CalDAV. There is no native way to sync a self-hosted CalDAV calendar with these cloud services. Common workarounds like ICS feed subscriptions are read-only and update only every 12–48 hours.

CalDAVconnect bridges this gap by connecting to CalDAV servers via the CalDAV protocol and to cloud calendars via their respective APIs (Google Calendar API, Microsoft Graph API). Changes sync bidirectionally within seconds on Solo and Pro plans using webhooks and CalDAV polling.

- **DAVx⁵ / CalDAV clients**: These sync a single device. CalDAVconnect syncs server-to-server, so all devices connected to either calendar see changes instantly.
